Scottish Moment

Yesterday at work, I was going out the door while a delivery man was coming in. He very nicely held the door for me, saying something along the lines of "There you go, lass". He called me lass. It still makes me want to giggle.

Awww! Did he put a burr in it? I want to hear a voice with a burr call me lass! :pouting:

Yep, I would say there was a burr. Enough of a burr that I didn't quite catch what was said before 'lass', but I choose to believe that it was gentlemanly.

And I definitely heard 'lass' correctly. :+)

I'm jealous. Just saying.

I've been called "pet" by someone with a Scottish accent, but never "lass." So count me in on the jealously.

I love being called 'lass'! Because I'm in England, I actually often get called 'love', especially by the stall people at the farmer's market. Always brightens my day. :)
